The Simpsons is a show rated by Common Sense Media as a show for kids about the age of 12. However, I am 13 and I also enjoy this show from a teenager's perspective where The Simpsons are a humorous way to pass the time. While my sister (age 10) views as a just goofy, wild ride filled with yellow people which is most likely funny for her, not a big deal to me, and a large confusion to my parents.
As for the characters perspective, Homer Simpson is a very dumb person who is constantly drinking beer and has as many brain cells as a piece of plastic. His answer to most things are I DONT KNOW ASK YOUR MOTHER. Next is Marge, Marge is not the prettiest or richest person in town but just wants to be accepted and loves Homer even when he does all the crazy stuff. Then theres Bart, Bart is always getting into trouble and practically lives in detention (in fact each episode starts with him writing on the board what he shouldn't have done). However, he still happens to find himself with bully problems and asked his sister Lisa to help. Lisa, the only smart one in the Simpsons family strives for greatness but gets sidetracked by the need for friends in which she has none. Maggie is the last but not least, the baby of the Simpsons family who has not said a word the entire season but still gets herself in a lot of trouble and has some sass even when she can't speak.
